Business Center Manager Spotlight: Ryan Van Zyl
Are you a dreamer, risk-taker, or doer?
I consider myself both a risk-taker and a doer. I’m primarily a doer, though. I have so much drive— I always keep my mind and hands busy. I’m very goal and task-driven and thoroughly enjoy marking items off my to-do lists. I enjoy learning new skills, researching, and then executing what I have learned. I’m proud to say that I taught myself how to replace the entire suspension on my Jeep, I learned the art of carpentry, and I remodeled my basement. I’m also a risk-taker, starting with the major life change of leaving South Africa at the age of 23. Driven by the desire to experience a snowy winter, I enjoyed an ideal paid vacation working and learning to snowboard. The summer after, I met my now wife of 11 years, and I have not looked back.
What do you enjoy most about supporting small businesses and entrepreneurs?
I love building professional relationships, learning each member’s specific needs, and identifying how I can bring value to them. For me, creating a warm, welcoming environment so members can get their work done worry-free is incredibly important to me. I’ve established a close, personal connection to a number of my members throughout the years. Finding a company that is devoted to the betterment and success of other small businesses rings true to my core values.
How many members (businesses) do your support in your location?
I currently support 83 great members at my Greenwood Village, CO location, virtual and dedicated offices combined.
What is just one thing you do that adds value to the members’ experience?
Authenticity. I genuinely like coming to work! I love what I do, and I think that my enthusiasm shows every day. My hope is that my members notice and that it ignites their passion.
