Office Evolution Seeks Suburban Coworking Middle Ground
Marcus Cain, the owner of the franchise Office Evolution location in Folsom, sees his office space solution as a happy medium between corporate-run coworking spaces and purely local operations.
With 7,200 square feet of office space on two floors at 50 Iron Point Circle, the Folsom Office Evolution space opened in November, and it will have a grand opening event on Wednesday.
“You have all the amenities of a corporate structure, plus you have a local owner. It’s the best of both worlds,” Cain said.
Office Evolution inhabits a middle ground between corporate coworking space managers such as WeWork and Regus, and smaller independent coworking spaces…
Office Evolution, founded in 2003 and based in Louisville, Colorado, has 67 locations open and operating in 24 states, according to its website.
Office Evolution targets more local companies seeking office space for the first time, Cain said.
In Folsom, the offices range from 70 to 150 square feet. They can be rented month-to-month or for a year or longer. The Folsom location also has an open coworking space, where clients can use shared desk space.
Office Evolution has secure mailboxes, which allow startup businesses to have a mailing address that isn’t a post office box.
Cain is also looking to open an Office Evolution space in Roseville, he said. “Downtown is not our niche. We are looking at suburban markets.”
