Waldon Fenster of Venture Studio
Are you a dreamer, risk-taker, or doer?
I’m definitely each of those, but I’m a dreamer for sure. I think most of the time entrepreneurs get stuck in the dreamer phase. They dream, but they don’t know what to do next. That’s where my company, Venture Studio, steps in. We help implement those dreams!
As fellow entrepreneurs, we would love to hear about your business.
I founded Venture Studio out of a desire to assist small companies launch their services and provide them with ideas on how to generate revenue. We work together with their team of consultants and help them figure out where they are losing money or how they can build new revenue channels. We also do a lot of US based rollouts and turnaround consulting for big Fortune 100 and 500 companies.
Who is your typical customer?
My customers are usually executives or CEOs who realize their business is on the cusp of something really awesome, but they just don’t know what it’s missing yet. They usually have between 10 and 50 employees and seek us because they know they are starting to hit that ceiling in their business, whether that’s $10 million, $50 million, or $100 million. They know they need to take the next step. That’s the stuff we’re looking for — a company where we can step in with our team of consultants, experts, or systems of technology and really start helping them achieve that next level of growth.
What are your top tips for entrepreneurial success?
Two things. First, it’s important to have an open mind and be teachable. The mind is just like a parachute — if it isn’t opening, it’s not going to work. The entrepreneurs who go further in life are the ones with an open and teachable mind. Also, I do this big lecture called “The Who Versus the How.” As entrepreneurs, we tend to get stuck only thinking about how things are going to get done instead of finding the right people, the “whos,” who can help us accomplish those “hows.”
