Member Spotlight: Judah Meiteles with Wrap Technologies

Who are you?
My name is Judah Meiteles, and I am the Director of Marketing at Wrap Technologies [Nasdaq: WRTC]. I began my career working as a producer for an educational television series on the Discovery Channel, and like many aspiring entrepreneurs, I eventually decided I wanted to own my own business, an ad agency.
Why did you choose your profession?
One of our clients, at the time, was Wrap Technologies; a law enforcement technology company specializing in innovation of modern policing solutions. They had raised a lot of money and were going public. They offered me the opportunity to lead their marketing efforts. I was excited about the opportunity to make a difference in the law enforcement community, so I sold my shares at my ad agency and joined Wrap Technologies as their Director of Marketing.
What’s unique about your business?
At Wrap Technologies, we saw a need in the law enforcement space for a less-lethal tool that could restrain a mentally ill or noncompliant subject without inflicting pain or risking injury to the subject or officer. Thus, the BolaWrap® was born. Developed by award winning inventor Woody Norris, the BolaWrap, is a hand-held remote restraint device that discharges an 8-foot bola style Kevlar® tether at 640 feet per second to restrain a subject from a distance of 10 to 25 feet. Our company consists of more than 30 team members working in remote locations around the United States, including Las Vegas, San Diego, Phoenix, Utah, and New York City. I was working in our NYC location, but recently got married and moved to New Jersey where I began working from home.
How has Office Evolution helped you be successful?
I was looking for a co-working space nearby that could provide me with a serious, clean work environment and the necessary amenities I needed to optimally perform throughout my workday. I found Office Evolution Hackensack online, and after visiting the office in person, I was blown away. I have been working here for 4 months and could not be more pleased. The office is spacious, full of motivated entrepreneurs, there is a printer, fast Wifi, I have my own mailbox, there is a full kitchen for me to comfortably prepare and store my meals, and there is always coffee, water, iced tea, and hot tea available. I look forward to continuing to enjoy the productive work environment at Office Evolution Hackensack!
